Black Dollaz Matter: The Lip Bar 💋

If you know me, I have loved Black owned businesses and all things glamour for as long as I can remember. #BlackDollazMatter I have always loved playing dress up and I would try anything on my dolls, from fashion to hair and makeup! Fast forward to college, I worked as a makeup artist for The Look by Joi at Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta and attended cosmetology school (for a summer). You couldn't tell me nothing. I had a shop set up in my dorm room, where you could catch me doing sew-ins, crochets, lashes, eyebrow waxes/arching, color, you name it. I even got to do makeup alongside major NOLA Makeup artists during Essence Fest 2016.

Love at First Use!

I first came to know about The Lip Bar at Target and Essence's Entrepreneur Summit in Atlanta a few years ago, and I have been a loyal customer since! Plus, I feel like a signature red lip is so on brand! 💋 Check me out rocking The Lip Bar!

My mommy and I absolutely LOVE Essence and Essence Fest, it's Black girl magic, and you get to meet, engage with, and get a first look at some of the hottest Black owned brands, businesses, and creators. Just last month, I was able to attend a few of The Lip Bar's booths at Essence Festival of Culture 2022, one being a food truck! (How cute?!) The Lip Bar partnered up with Smooth N Groove and UrbanSkinRx! We were able to not only receive a free fresh smoothie, but we got a bag of goodies, too, which included products from both UrbanSkinRx and The Lip Bar! Yesssss. 💋

Thread Beauty

A few months ago, I was selected to be a creator with The Lip Bar's sister company, Thread Beauty! Thread Beauty is all about clean beauty and self expression. I have been using their Gloss It glosses regularly in colors Influencer, Gloss it, and Focused. I was super excited for the opportunity, but have struggled with really tapping in and creating content. I want my content to feel like a conversation with a friend or like an invite to my living room, you know? Anyway, absolutely run to Target, Walmart or their websites and grab both The Lip Bar and Thread Beauty and let us know what some of your favorites are! Make sure to follow me on TikTok, where you can catch me using some of my favorite beauty brands.
