Black Speechies Matter.

Today marks #WorldSpeechDay! As a Southern Black Girl With A Lot to Say, I understand the power in words, in speech, and I celebrate all those who help us to understand and communicate effectively with one another. Black Speechies Matter. 🗣

I celebrate my friend Mariyah, who has been a light in my life since we met at Southern University just a few months ago. I love Mariyah's Day-in-the-Life vlogs, because she really is representing for Black Speechies out here and for the South!

Mariyah Williams is a native of Jackson, MS. She is a 2020 graduate of THEE Jackson State University where she received her Bachelors in Communicative Disorders. She currently attends Southern University where she will be receiving a Masters in Speech Language Pathology this May. Her current plan is to become a Pediatric Speech Pathologist post-graduation. #yesssss

"My friends would describe me as funny and a fireball of energy."

Mariyah loves all things fashion. (She does be dressing, y'all). She loves to travel, even though she doesn't like trying new foods.

"I believe that life is far more than just existing and it should be lived to the fullest!"

Keep up with Mariyah and show her some love! ✨
